Logistics Coordinator

Our client is a French shipping company, family owned, delivering specialized maritime services tailored to the requirements of a major oil and industrial operator. In this position, you will efficiently manage the logistic operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery, compliance with regulations and optimizing costs and procedures. At mid-term, you may develop progressively fruitful client relations to expand the portfolio of customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and monitoring logistics operation with Client (RFQ/ Booking / Pre-alert / WO);
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers to obtain cost-effective bids and to ensure mutual satisfaction (RFQ / Follow up/Reminder);
  • Plan and monitor the shipment according to customer requirements;
  • Use logistics IT such OMS software to optimize procedures or Client IT tools such TESS, ARIBA or OTM;
  • Prepare accurate reports for senior management when necessary;
  • Develop and implement indicators for tracking and handling of shipment when necessary (KPI for example);
  • Analyze Customer service feedback on delivery issues;
  • Business development.

Desired experience & skills:

  • Previous experience in logistic providers (shipping is a plus);
  • Studies related to logistics and supply chain are valued;
  • Good communication skills related to client work, ability to show discretion and confidentiality;
  • Structured, analytical, good organization & planning skills, punctual, available, willing to grow;
  • Results oriented;
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Good communication skills English; French is a plus;
  • MS Office suite.
